HC Deb 25 February 1926 vol 192 c764W
Mr. A. V. ALEXANDER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is yet in a position to state the names of the Commission appointed to inquire into the possibility of improvements in Indian agriculture; when this Committee will start upon its investigations; and whether it will receive evidence in England from those concerned in this country in products of agriculture in India?

Earl WINTERTON

I am not yet in a position to make a statement regarding personnel. The Commission will probably start on its labours in the Autumn. It will be for the Commission itself to decide whether to take evidence in this country or not.
