§ Sir S. HOAREThe strength of the Royal Air Force at the present time is approximately the equivalent of 56 regular squadrons. Of these 28 are equipped with aircraft and engines of post-war design, and two others are now in course of being so equipped. The remaining squadrons are equipped with aircraft and engines of types designed during the War, there being to-day no service aircraft of pre-war design in use. It would not be in the public interest to give more detailed information.
