Major DAVIESasked the Minister of Health how many persons who are in 2150W receipt of Poor Law relief or who owe moneys to the guardians for relief received by way of loan are at present serving as town, borough, county borough, or county councillors; and whether, if he is not in possession of this information, he will take steps to obtain it and convey it to this House?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThis information is not available. I will consider my hon. Friend's suggestion, but as at present advised I doubt whether the value of the information would compensate for the cost of collecting it.
