HC Deb 17 February 1926 vol 191 c1944W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any Regulations or instructions have been issued to inspectors giving them powers to stamp automatic counter scales under the Weights and Measures Act; whether inspectors of weights and measures are stamping these scales; and, if so, what these instructions or Regulations are and under which Act or Acts?

Mr. A. M. SAMUEL

Inspectors are stamping these instruments under the authority of the weights and Measures Regulations, 1907, made under Section 5 of the Weights and Measures Act, 1904, and of the Notices of Examination in respect of patterns which have received the approval of the Board of Trade under Section 6 of that Act.
