HC Deb 17 February 1926 vol 191 cc1959-60W
Sir W. de FRECE

asked the Home Secretary if he will give the number and names of towns last year at which the respective licensing justices have granted an application for the extra half-hour of opening, firstly for the summer season and secondly for the whole year; how many applications for such extension have been made this year; and how many have been granted to date?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

I regret I am not in a position to furnish the information asked for. Particulars of the permitted hours in force at the end of 1921 in the various licensing districts in England and Wales were given in the published licensing statistics for that year, but similar information has not been collected in respect of subsequent years.
