HC Deb 17 February 1926 vol 191 c1942W
Brigadier-General WARNER

asked the Secretary of State for Air when it is likely that sufficient married quarters will be provided at the Henlow aerodrome, so as to relieve the present congestion in housing conditions in the surrounding villages?

Sir S. HOARE

Married quarters for officers and airmen to the extent of 80 and 57 per cent. respectively, of the full scales authorised have already been provided at Henlow, or will be completed in the course of the next four months. The provision of further quarters to complete the full entitlement for this station will proceed as rapidly as circumstances and available funds permit. I would add that married quarters are not provided for married personnel borne on the strength of a unit but only temporarily attached to the station for courses of instruction.
