HC Deb 16 February 1926 vol 191 cc1746-7W
Mr. BARNES

asked the Minister of Transport whether the terms of the contract issued to Messrs. Griffiths for the making of the Maidstone-Folkestone road stipulate that shelters, latrines, and a supply of drinking water shall be furnished for the men engaged on this work; and, if so, how far has this stipulation been fulfilled?

Colonel ASHLEY

The answer to the first part of the question is in affirmative. As regards the last part, I have no reason to think that the contractors have failed to carry out in a reasonable manner the terms of their contract with the county council.
