HC Deb 10 February 1926 vol 191 c1057W
Mr. COUPER

asked the Minister of Labour whether he aware of the circumstances under which the steamer "Saint Mungo" has been laid idle at Garston Dock, Liverpool, since 4th January; whether the coal workers refused to load the vessel because the masters and officers declined to join the Transport and General Workers' Union; and whether, in view of the principle involved, he will appoint a Court of Inquiry into the facts and circumstances of the dispute?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

I am glad to say that this dispute has now been settled. I do not think further inquiry is called for.
