asked the Minister of Labour the number of applications for extended benefit which were disallowed after having been recommended by the local employment committee at the Walworth Road (Borough) Exchange during the months of September. October, November and December, respectively?

The answer is three, these being all in the month of November, 1925.

asked the Minister of Labour how many women entitled to standard unemployment benefit have been refused such benefit at the Walworth Road (Borough) Exchange from 1st January, 1925, to the latest convenient date, also the number of women refused extended benefit during the same period, stating separately the number refused benefit as not genlinely seeking work together with the totals for each month?

I am unable to state the number of women claiming standard unemployment benefit who have had such benefit reused at the Borough Employment Exchange during 1925. The total numbers of applications by women for extended benefit -.recommended for disallowance by the Borough (Walworth Road) Local Employment Committee in each month from the beginning of 1925 and the numbers recommended for disallowance on the ground that the applicants were not making every reasonable effort to obtain suitable employment
