HC Deb 04 February 1926 vol 191 c325W
Mr. W. BAKER

asked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been called to the success of the Hague telephone administration in relaying wireless programmes by telephone to Dutch telephone subscribers without interfering with the ordinary telephone service; and whether, seeing that such a relayed service is free from atmospheric disturbances and would yield a substantial revenue to the State, he will consider the desirability of making an experiment to test the advantages of the scheme?

Viscount WOLMER

The working of the arrangement which is being tried at The Hague will be carefully watched, and after future experience has been gained I will bear the hon. Member's suggestion in mind.
