HC Deb 04 February 1926 vol 191 cc325-6W
Mr. R. MORRISON

asked the Postmaster-General if he is now able to state definitely whether the building of the new central post office in High Road, Tottenham, will be commenced during the present year?

Viscount WOLMER

I have every hope that provision for a commencement of this building will be made in the Revenue Buildings Estimates for 1926–27, in which case subject to Parliamentary sanction the work will be put in hand during the next financial year; but as the Estimates in question have not yet been finally settled I am unable at present to make the definite statement which the hon. Member seeks.
