HC Deb 10 December 1926 vol 200 c2433W
Mr. PRESTON

asked the Minister of Labour whether the staff of the Wednesbury Exchange have yet been paid for overtime worked during the general strike and, if not, whether, as six months have now elapsed, he can have the matter cleared up at once?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

Payment for overtime up to the normal limit of 12 hours per week was made to the staff of the Wednesbury Employment Exchange some time ago. Special sanction for payment of overtime beyond that limit was necessary. This has now been obtained and instructions have been issued for all outstanding payments to be made.
