HC Deb 09 December 1926 vol 200 c2320W
Sir N. MOORE

asked the President of the Board of Education the amount of grants paid by the Board to the London School of Economics. either direct or through the University of London, during the financial year 1925–26?

Lord E. PERCY

No grants were paid by my Department to the London School of Economics in the financial year 1925–26, but in that financial year the School received from the Exchequer, on the recommendation of the University Grants Committee, a grant amounting, I understand, to £22,000.
