asked the Minister of Health whether he proposes to seek powers to inspect bacon factories and carcases purchased by them from abroad?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

Officers of local authorities already have powers under the Public Health Acts to enter bacon factories and inspect all carcases found therein. I may add that all carcases imported into this country are liable to inspection at the port of entry.
