§ Captain HACKING:None of His Majesty's inspectors are so employed. The trades in question do not come under the Factory Acts. The retail trades are within the Shops Acts, but the enforcement of the Shops Acts rests not with the Home Office, but with the local authorities, who appoint their own inspectors.
