Mr. FOOT-MITCHELLasked the Postmaster-General whether he can make arrangements by which wireless may be used for the broadcasting of notifications of foot-and-mouth disease for the information of the farmers concerned in order to avoid the present delay in notifying cases?
Mr. GUINNESS:I have been asked to reply. The Ministry already makes use of wireless for broadcasting information with regard to outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease whenever it is considered that such announcements would be of value in preventing the spread of infection.
