HC Deb 13 April 1926 vol 194 c33W
Mr. MacLAREN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India has taken any steps to implement the resolution passed by the Legislative. Assembly in February, 1925, demanding an inquiry into the grievances of Indian railway subordinates by the Central Railway Advisory Council; and, if not, what is the reason for the delay?

Earl WINTERTON:

The Government of India decided not to institute the inquiry proposed in the Resolution referred to by the hon. Member, but drew the attention of the Railway Administrations to the Debate upon it, with a view to the removal of any well-founded grievances.
