§ Mr. NEVILLE CHAMBERLAINIn the case referred to there was a guarantee policy to the extent of £1,000 and I am advised that this amount would have covered any possible loss if the supervision which is proper and usual in these cases had been exercised during the months when the fraud occurred. As, 937W regards the latter part of the question, there is statutory requirement for the giving of security by officers in the case of all the principal classes of local authorities.
