§ Colonel VAUGHAN-MORGANasked the Minister of Health whether the proposals relating to the valuation and rating of premises containing machinery, which have been included in the Rating and Valuation Bill now before the House, have the approval of the Association of Municipal Corporations, the County Councils' Association, and the National Conference of Assessment Committees, respectively?
Mr. CHAMBERLAIN:I have received representations from the Association of Municipal Corporations, the Federation of British Industries, the Associated Chambers of Commerce, and the Machinery Users' Association upon the recommendations of the Inter-Departmental Committee on the Rating of Machinery, but the precise proposals in the Bill have not been discussed with those bodies or the other organisations to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers.
