§ Mr. BARKERasked the Secretary for Mines if the Committee appointed by the Mines Research Board in 1923 to prepare a scheme for investigating possible methods of reducing the number of accidents from falls of ground has made a Report; and, in view of the importance of the question, will he lay a copy of the Report upon the Table of the House?
§ Colonel LANE-FOXA Report by the Committee on the South Wales Coalfield has already been published and steps have been taken to call attention to its recommendation. My Department had already, in July last, issued a special circular to the industry on this subject, suggesting various directions in which action might be taken. I am sending the hon. Member copies of both documents. The Committee are now preparing a Report on the Scottish coalfields.
