HALLasked the Secretary for Mines in which districts miners are at present working short time; whether he is in a position to state the number of men paid off and working short time, respectively, in each district affected; and what number of men were working full time in these districts during January and the first two weeks of February, 1924, as compared with the same period this year?
§ Captain HACKINGI have been asked to reply to this question. I regret that information is not available in the exact form in which the hon. Member asks for it, and it would be difficult to obtain but I will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT the relevant statistics in the possession of the Mines Department, and I hope that these will serve the hon. Member's purpose.
