§ Mr. FORESTIER-WALKERThe Forestry Commissioners, who were established in November, 1919, have no information as to the timber cut down in the United Kingdom during the War years, nor have they any knowledge as to the amount remaining unused. They are, however, conducting a survey of the woodlands in. Great Britain; when complete it should be possible to estimate the area and consequently to estimate the quantity of timber felled during the War years.
