Mr. GUINNESSThe total amount of credits advanced by the British Government to the Portuguese Government between the outbreak of War and 30th June, 1919 (since when no fresh advances have been made), is £15,010,000. Interest as it accrues has up to the present been added to the capital of the debt, and the total amount of the debt as on 30th June, 1925, is £22,678,000. No payment is being made in cash.
