THORNEasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the opinion of the Government that treaties between Great Britain and the Dominions 1540W do not require to be and should not be registered with the League of Nations has been discussed with the Dominions and agreed to by them; and, if not, whether he proposes to consult the Dominions on the subject?
§ Mr. ORMSBY-GOREI would refer the hon. Member to the second part of the reply given to the hon. Member for North Aberdeen (Mr. Rose) on 17th December last to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. The correspondence in which the opinion of His Majesty's Government was expressed was communicated to the Dominion Governments at the time. His Majesty's Government have no knowledge of any general desire for a discussion on the subject, but in any case there has been no opportunity for such discussion since the correspondence took place.
