Mr. WOODI have no information which would enable me to state the average price received by farmers for the country generally as distinct from wholesale prices. At some markets the wholesale prices are those realised by the farmers less any charges for commission, 1847W while at other wholesale markets the potatoes may be sold mainly by merchants.
