§ Colonel ASHLEYThe eight miles mentioned by the hon. and gallant Gentleman include the three miles of the extension from the Bath Road to the Staines Road. The Road Fund is contributing 75 per cent., or roughly £750,000 of the cost of constructing the five and one-eighth miles constituting the Great West Road proper; and 50 per cent., or roughly £70,000, of the cost of the Staines extension.
