§ Captain GARRO-JONESasked the Secretary for Mines whether he has received a report of the findings by a London County Council Committee on the subject of the practices of London coal merchants in the household coal trade; and what steps he proposes to take?
§ Colonel LANE-FOXI have seen in the Press a Report by a committee of the London County Council in which legislation is recommended to prevent the sale of incombustible matter mixed with coal. I understand that the report has been adopted by the London County Council who propose to seek Parliamentary powers, and in these circum stances I do not think that any action by my Department is required.
