§ Colonel DAYasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, seeing that an Admiralty Order of 1919 made provision for the reduction of certain allowances of the lower deck following any reduction in the cost of living and that the lower deck was informed that the present rates of pay were permanent, he will give an assurance that no reduction in the pay of the lower deck is contemplated?
