§ Major Sir H. CAYZER
asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been drawn to the claims of the retired Regular Army ranker (permanent commission) officers; and whether he will recommend the appointment of a committee of inquiry to inquire into their claims, as was done in the case of the Army pensioned ranker officers?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS
I have been asked to reply. My attention has been drawn to the claims of these officers, and my hon. and gallant Friend the Financial Secretary received a1840W deputation on the subject in December last. As regards the latter part of the question, the answer is in the negative.
