HOLBROOKasked the Minister of Pensions whether it is intended that ex-full-time medical officers on sessional medical board work shall now be given preference for such work over medical men who have not been full-time medical officers of the Ministry; and, if so, whether instructions to that effect have been given, or will now be given, to all area deputy commissioners for their future guidance?
Lieut.-Colonel STANLEYAs I informed the hon. and gallant Member in reply to a question on this subject on the 11th ultimo, it is the intention that ex-full-time salaried medical officers of the Ministry shall generally be given preference in the allocation of such part-time sessional work as may be available, and that instructions are being issued accordingly.
