BRAMSDONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the number of chief petty officers' and petty officers' messes in the principal establishments in Portsmouth, the number of these messes now on the general messing system and the number of these messes which have at one time been messed on the general messing system and have now reverted to other forms of messing; and if he will cause inquiry to be made as to the reason chief petty officers and petty officers do not desire to be messed from the general mess, with a. view to the system being brought to a state of efficiency where general satisfaction will result?
