§ Mr. HOBHOUSEasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that in some cases children who have been adopted by boards of guardians are returned to parents whose character and mode of life have a harmful effect upon them; and whether he will consider introducing legislation to amend Section 1 (1) of the Poor Law Act, 1899, by substituting 21 years for 18 years as the limit of age of vesting of parental powers in boards of guardians where the guardians consider that, in the interest of persons with respect to whom resolutions of vesting are passed, the extension of such age limit is necessary or desirable
