§ Mr. HOFFMANasked the Minister of Health if he has received requests from local authorities asking for powers to 59W make it illegal to erect hoardings without the consent of the local authorities and for power to request the removal of existing hoardings deemed to be undesirable, and that definite rateable values be placed on such hoardings as are erected; and if he is prepared to consider favourably introducing legislation with these objects?
Mr. GREENWOODMy right hon. Friend has received a number of such resolutions. The existing law provides for the rating of these hoardings, and a Bill now before the House contains additional provision for their control. The whole matter is being carefully considered.
