§ Mr. TOOLEasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the Budget breakfast table benefits, which were acclaimed by the housewives of the nation, have already been neutralised by the action of the food profiteers, who last week increased the price of butter by 3d. per pound and bacon by 1d. per pound; and whether he can see his way to introduce legislation which will prevent such profiteering taking place in the future?
