§ Mr. R. MORRISONasked the Attorney-General when the present Committee for advising the Lord Chancellor in connection with the appointment of magisstrates in the County of Middlesex was appointed; and how many Labour representatives are upon the Committee, and who they are?
The ATTORNEY-GENERALThe Middlesex County Justices' Advisory Committee was originally appointed in 1911. It was reconstituted in 1919, and1370W reappointed in December, 1922, for a term of three years from the 12th December, 1922. One of the members of the original Committee was appointed to represent the Labour point of view. Another Labour member was added in 1919, and a third in 1920. These three persons are still members of the Committee. If the hon. Member desires, I shall be happy to give him their names privately.
