Mr. ALEXANDERI am advised that the cost of exchange in Australia has been a factor tending to restrict import business from Australia into this country in recent months. I note, however, that the price of wool imported from Australia has been substantially higher than a year ago, and this has doubtless not been without effect in the same connection.
