§ Mr. SNOWDENIn order to provide American exchange during the period before the United States entered the War, His Majesty's Government arranged to borrow from the Central Argentine Railway Company on 1st February, 1917, 15,000,000 American dollars (of which sum £3,082,000 is the sterling equivalent at par of exchange). This sum is repayable in 1927 in dollars.
