§ Mr. WHEATLEYI have no exact record of the number of wooden houses approved for State assistance under the Housing Acts of 1919 and 1923, but the number is very small. No reports are sent to me in regard to houses which give satisfaction, although I sometimes receive complaints in regard to those which do not come up to expectations. These complaints are not confined to houses of any particular form of construction.
