HC Deb 11 March 1924 vol 170 cc2159-60W
Mr. C. WILSON

asked the Home Secretary whether, since the passing of the Public Meetings Act, 1908, and regarding Parliamentary and other elections, respectively, any and, if so, how many prosecutions have taken place; how many individuals have been prosecuted; in how many prosecutions have there been convictions and how many individuals have been convicted; and what amount of fines have been imposed and how many individuals have been disfranchised?

Mr. DAVIES

There have been 63 prosecutions in all under the Act, but I have no information as to the facts of individual cases nor the results of the proceedings.
