Mr. DAVIESExcept when given in a private dwelling-house to which the public are not admitted, exhibitions of cinematograph films are subject to the control of the local authorities under the Cinematograph Act of 1909. In addition to this safeguard, a careful watch is kept by the police and the Customs to prevent the importation into the country of films which are contrary to public morals.
