§ Mr. H. SPENCERasked the Secretary for Scotland if his attention has been drawn to the refusal of the renewal of the certificate of the Govan United Ex-service Men's Club, 12, Carmichael Street, Govan, Glasgow; and whether he can do anything to mitigate the hardship caused to the members, many of whom may now be unemployed?
Mr. ADAMSONI assume that this question refers to the refusal of a certificate of registration under the Licensing (Scotland) Act, 1903, which certificate is required before excisable liquor can be supplied or sold on club premises. I have no information regarding the case referred to, and it is not a matter in which I have any power to intervene.
