§ Mr. WHEATLEYThe number of bricklayers employed on the 1st June on houses in course of construction by local authorities under the Housing, Town Planning, Etc., Act, 1919, was 381. Similar information is not available as regards houses being constructed under the Housing. Etc., Act, 1923, and in connection with slum clearance schemes, nor is it possible to state the number of apprentices employed in connection with housing schemes under these Acts.
