§ Mr. R. MORRISONasked the Minister of Health whether the Registrars of Births and Deaths for the sub-districts of East and West Tottenham and Wood 1745W Green, respectively, were required on appointment to give a written undertaking that they would devote the whole of their time to the duties of the office; whether he is aware that, owing to certain changes in the district, there is now great inequality in the emoluments received; and whether he will look into this matter and consider whether any rearrangement is possible?
§ Mr. WHEATLEYI have no knowledge of any such undertaking having been required. The inequality between the emoluments of the several Registrars is mainly due to the unequal size of the sub-districts, a matter which will be considered on the occurrence of a vacancy.
