HC Deb 29 July 1924 vol 176 c1908W
Mr. STRANGER

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that Arthur Ronald Lane, aged 21, a first offender, charged with stealing electric wire, who was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, was discharged at the expiration of his sentence on Monday last suffering from burns and scalds to hand and arm, sustained whilst at work in the prison kitchen, which injury rendered him unfit for work during the latter part of his imprisonment and at the time of his discharge and whether any provision is being made for him during his period of incapacity?

Mr. HENDERSON

The case has not previously been brought to my notice, but I will make inquiry in regard to it.
