§ Mr. GROVESasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the legal prohibition of overcrowding in the case of public vehicles plying upon the public streets, he is prepared to introduce legislation to prevent similar overcrowding of
230Wmade for the future widening of important roads on the outskirts of London and other great towns. In the present state of the law it is impossible to ensure the general prescription of adequate building lines, and I am considering in conjunction with the Minister of Health what additional powers are required for this purpose.
