Mr. ALEXANDERI have been asked to reply to this question. I would refer the hon. Member to the recently published volume of Trading Accounts which contains the results of State trading in respect of transactions in Australian zinc, home-grown timber and the operations of the Royal Commission on the Sugar Supply to 31st March, 1923. As regards the two latter services which are now practically wound up, it is not expected that later accounts when available will show any material change in the published figures. As regards Australian zinc, I am unable to indicate at present the result of the operations for the year 1923–24.
