§ Mr. HINDLEasked the Home Secretary if he is prepared to enrol partially disabled unemployed ex-service men in the police force for special point duty purposes?
Mr. HENDERSONI understand that a few temporary appointments have been made for traffic duty of one kind or another in some forces, but that it would not be possible to employ partially disabled men in the Metropolitan police. I would point out that point duty is arduous work, and I am afraid the scope for ex-service men in this direction is very limited.
