§ Mr. WHEATLEYApplications are still being received for authority to proceed with the erection of houses under the Housing, etc., Act, 1923. Since the beginning of this year authority has been given for the erection of 62,743 houses—20,421 by local authorities and 42,322 by private enterprise.
