HC Deb 27 February 1924 vol 170 c508W

asked the Secretary for Mines whether he is prepared to introduce legislation to carry out the recommendations contained in the third Report of the Acquisition and Valuation of Land Committee on the acquisition for public purposes of rights and powers in connection with mines and minerals?

Effect has been given to many of these recommendations by the Mining Industry Act, 1920, and Mines (Working Facilities and Support) Act, 1923, and some are under consideration by the Royal Commission on Mining Subsidence. The question whether further legislation is necessary will be kept in mind.
