§ Mr. HAYESasked the Minister of Pensions whether he will cause consideration to be given to the financial circumstances of any pensioner who is called upon to make any refund and, in straitened cases, to suspend the refund deductions while such conditions obtain?
Mr. MUIRIt is already the practice of the Ministry where serious hardship is represented, to consider the case sympathetically with a view to reducing the rate of, or in certain cases waiving, recovery of overissues of pension.
